The microfinance network ACEP develops its CSR policy

The microfinance network ACEP Africa Group is developping a formal CSR policy and social performance measurement tools. First developed in the ACEP institutions based in Niger, Burkina Fasob and Cameroon, this policy is meant to expand to the entire ACEP network in Africa.

CERISE, a knowledge exchange network specialized in microfinance, is contributing to the definition and set up of the social and environmental policy of the ACEP Group. The development of this policy is at the very heart of the project, constituting one of its major objective.

The CSR policy notably consists of:

• integrating social and environmental criteria in the selection and follow-up of the clients
• Develop the social responsibility of the group toward their clients and employees
• Set up the adequate indicators to monitor the social performance

About ACEP network

ACEP Africa Group is conceived as a pan-african microfinance group, initiated by I&P and ACEP-Interntional. The network gathers the national branches of ACEP, based in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Madagascar and Niger.
