For over 20 years, Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P) has been committed to financing small and medium-sized African enterprises and supporting the emergence of investment teams across the continent
I&P's activities are structured around three fundamental pillars to facilitate access to finance for African entrepreneurs: directly financing and supporting entrepreneurs (seed funding, private equity), nurturing and developing African investment teams, and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
To date, I&P has supported over 300 companies across various sectors and finances around 50 SMEs each year. Our team is spread across 11 locations: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, France, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Uganda.
Would you like to contribute to the development of African entrepreneurship while joining a committed and dynamic group? We are looking for an Impact Director, a key position within our organization.
Mission
As the Impact Director, you will play a strategic role in implementing and continuously improving I&P's impact strategy. Reporting to the Executive Board and playing an active role in the Management Committee, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Continuous Evolution of I&P's Impact Strategy:

Lead the update and renewal of I&P’s impact strategy

Ensure the consistency and evolution of the group’s impact approaches and methodologies

Guarantee the excellence of the company’s impact strategy in all its dimensions, including climate-related issues
2. Development and Monitoring of Impact Operational Tools:

Define impact objectives and measurement indicators

Design and enhance impact monitoring tools and procedures in collaboration with the investment team

Train teams on impact monitoring methodologies and tools
3. Impact Governance:

Lead Impact committees for various funds and programs

Participate in project committees for certain investment vehicles

Draft consolidated annual I&P Impact reports
4. Impact Research and Studies:

Supervise and coordinate impact evaluation studies and research projects

Analyze the challenges faced by African SMEs related to climate, gender, and post-conflict areas

Contribute to the development of guides and recommendations for ecosystem stakeholders
5. Advocacy and External Representation:

Participate in working groups within the impact investment sector

Represent I&P at events and conferences

Contribute to publications
Profile
Experience: 10 years of experience in impact measurement, monitoring, and evaluation, with a preference for experience in Africa. Strong knowledge of ESG would be an asset, given the overlap between impact and ESG topics. Experience within an impact fund management team is recommended.
Education: Degree from a top business or engineering school, economist, MBA, or Master’s degree (Level 2).
Skills:
- Strong analytical, adaptability, and presentation skills
- Excellent command of impact evaluation methodologies
- Ability to lead committees and manage cross-functional projects
Languages: Fluent in French and English
