I&P Development, marking ten years of activity, is publishing its annual impact report. Ten years that offer a chance to look back on the path travelled since 2015: growing a new generation of African fund managers, dedicated to serving the continent's SMEs.
The IPDEV network today counts seven active partner funds (Sinergi, Nere Capital, Teranga Capital Partners, Comoé Capital, Zira Capital, Inua Capital, Miarakap Investment), with two more funds currently launching (Fako Capital, Idawa Capital), 66 equity investments since 2015, and 159 businesses supported in 2025.
A 9x leverage effect: for every euro invested by IPDEV, 9 euros are mobilized in total. The SMEs supported grow at an average annual rate of 25% and, on average, double their revenue within five years of entering the portfolio. More than 1,700 permanent jobs created or maintained, 86% of them formalized.
Gender is a structural commitment, not an afterthought: 60% of partner fund teams are women, and 30% of the businesses financed are founded or co-founded by women.
"In times of uncertainty, the most powerful thing an investor can do is trust teams who know their territory, understand their markets, and have chosen to build regardless."
— David Munnich, Director, I&P Development
