Mialy Ranaivoson has worked in the realm of private equity for more than 13 years and has managed about 19 investment deals in Africa. Mialy joined I&P as an investment officer in 2012 and has become Investment Director for the IPAE funds since 2020. In this capacity, she is responsible of the development, the monitoring and the support of the investment portfolio in the Indian Ocean region, in East Africa.

Mialy holds a Master degree in Finance and Accounting from the National Institute of Accounting and Business Administration (INSCAE Madagascar) as well as a Diploma of Higher Technician in International Trade from the CNTEMAD Madagascar. She also holds a “Sustainable Leadership in Africa” executive certificate from HEC Paris.

She is the current president of the AMIC (Malagasy association of private equity investors).

Some achievements to date:

  • 8 exits completed:
    • SME exits in the Indian Ocean;
    • Complete exit of all IPAE 1 and IPDEV 1 portfolio companies in Madagascar;
    • Positive gross profit on IPAE 1 portfolio companies;
  • Closing of 9 investments in the Indian Ocean (IPAE 1 and 2);
  • Mialy opened I&P's Madagascar office: Creation of a competence cluster in Madagascar to provide support and middle office services for I&P activities.
