EVPA (European Venture Philanthropy Association) publishes the second edition of its guide on impact measurement and management, targeted at venture philantropy organizations and social investors. The first objective of the manual is to create a roadmap or guidemap to help investors develop the appropriate methodologies, databases, tools and metrics to measure their social impact.
EVPA’s Practical Guide is a comprehensive resource that distils best practice in impact measurement into five easy-to-understand steps and provides practical tips and recommendations on how to implement impact measurement at the level of the social investor and in the social sector organisations that they support.
The Guide was launched in 2013, and updated mid-2015 to include information on the uptake of the Guide, the remaining challenges that practitioners face, the contribution of the guide to policy work, and EVPA’s future plans in terms of research on impact measurement and management. The impact measurement standard in this Guide has been endorsed by the European Commission as the EU wide best practise standard of impact measurement.
