"Renewable Energy in African SMEs" A Panorama of 77 Companies in 5 Sub-Saharan Countries

Etienne Saint-Sernin is an engineer, specialized in renewable energy. His background in the sector includes research and developement, technical support and market consultancy for SMEs, NGOs ans investors, including Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P), both in Europe and Africa.

He recently ran a large-scale study of 77 Sub-Saharan SMEs through their contribution to promote renewable energy. He visited 5 countries of the Sahelian belt to achieve a complete survey on their technology profiles, business models, relations with micro-finance and mobile banking, country and company profiles. 

I&P, willing to promote and enhance people and works who bring light to the entrepreneurship environment in Sub-Saharan Africa, contributed to this field-trip study by bringing a technical support for relations and logistics.
