Submitted by admin on Mon, 03/03/2014 - 14:49"Impact investments are investments made into companies, organizations, and funds with the intention to generate social and environmental impact alongside a financial return. Impact investments can be made in both emerging and developed markets, and target a range of returns from below market to market rate, depending upon the circumstances", according to the GIIN.
The Global Impact Investment Network (GIIN), of which Investisseurs & Partenaires is a member, is a highly involved organization that synchronizes, promotes and supports various stakeholders in the impact investing field. The GIIN gives here a definition to a notion increasingly used by stakeholders from Finance and Development worlds.
This definition fully encompasses I&P's activities and stresses its mission towards African Entrepreneurs looking both for performance and impacts.
