Benson Gagi

Benson Gagi joined I&P in 2023 and holds the position of Finance and Middle Office Manager of Mastercard Foundation Africa Growth Fund.

Benson's professional journey began in 2014 at Equity Bank, where he worked for a short stint before taking up a role as a junior accountant at Ernest & Martin, a professional firm providing Accounting, Audit, and Tax Advisory services to MSMEs in Kenya in 2015. In the same year, Benson moved to Mammoth General, an SME involved in the import, supply, and application of paints, where he worked as an accountant until mid-2017. It was during his illustrious five and a half years tenure at Maris Africa, a DFI-funded Investment Holding Group, that Benson truly showcased his finance leadership acumen. Holding various positions and ultimately serving as a Group Finance Manager in the Agris Division, prior to joining I&P.

Benson is an alumnus of Strathmore University, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance. He is also a CPA(K) and an affiliate member of ICPAK.
