Since the first exit from the Mali based company CAMED in 2009, I&P has made 30 exits to date. We have published a summary note on our exit experience , recalling the key issues and looking back at some emblematic exits, including Normat.

Specialized in the production and marketing of soap made from local products, the Savonnerie Parfumerie du Houet (SPH) has reached a new stage in its development with the opening of a new production factory in Bobo-Dioulasso. The inauguration of this new factory took place this Thursday, November 25, 2021 in the economic capital of Burkina Faso.

The opening of the SPH factory was a succession of steps:

Dr. Wisdom Amegbletor is a medical doctor and an entrepreneur. After completing University of Ghana Medical School in 1999, he completed his mandatory housemanship and then decided to work at Greenshield Clinic in Sefwi-Wiawso, a rural town in the Western region of Ghana. This experience inspired him to found New Crystal Health Services in 2003, a leading and one of the fastest growing private healthcare service providers in Ghana.

I&P met with Mrs. Bineta Koné Coulibaly, President of SECAS, and Mrs. Ndèye Anta Coulibaly Ba, General Manager. Launched in 1992, SECAS (formerly known as "La Vivrière") is a Senegalese SME specialized in the processing and marketing of local cereals. The company is supported by Teranga Capital, I&P's partner in Senegal, since 2019.

I&P Acceleration Technologies, a program dedicated to African digital startups led by Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P), and Miarakap, an impact investment company dedicated to financing and supporting high-potential small and medium-sized enterprises in Madagascar, are partnering with Sayna, the first African Edtech & crowdsourcing platform.

Nairobi-based Ed Partners Africa, an affordable private schools financing company, has raised US $1.9m (Ksh205 million) to expand its presence and enable the unserved affordable private schools market access to credit.

The funds were raised from from Acumen, I&P (through its fund I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs 2) and Zephyr with participation from existing investors.

The 4th edition of the Social & Inclusive Camp is coming to an end for the 2020 cohort, after a particularly eventful year due the Covid-19 pandemic. The 65 entrepreneurs of the cohort have taken up the challenge of digitalization, demonstrated their adaptability and seized the networking opportunities offered by the program.

New Crystal Health Services, Ghana’s leading private health care group dedicated to the urban poor, has recently attained ISO certifications in the following: ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO 45001:2018.

This is an important step for New Crystal, financed by our fund I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs 2 since January 2020.

The fund I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs 2 welcomes in its portfolio the Ghanaian company XpressGas, a pioneering distributor of Liquefied Petroleum Gas. Also known as LPG, this fuel offers an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative, particularly for peri-urban and rural areas.

XpressGas is the tenth company funded by the IPAE 2 fund, which maintains an active pace of investment despite the Covid-19 context.
