In the heart of Senegal, in the Kaolack region, a small company has set itself the task of turning an environmental problem into an economic opportunity: KaoPlast.

Founded in 2015 and fully operational since 2018, the company has established itself as a pioneer in the recycling of hard plastics in a region where waste management is still poorly structured.

On this occasion, long-time investor Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P) announces its exit from the company’s capital, marking the conclusion of a remarkable journey and the beginning of a promising future.

I&P is glad to share the story of SetTIC, a Senegalese company specializing in the treatment of corporate waste (waste electrical and electronic equipment, waste characterization audits and special waste recycling).

SetTIC was founded in 2013 and is run by two women engineers, Boussoura Talla and Julie Repetti, who specialize in information and communication technologies and the environment.

From November 5 to 7, 2024, Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P) and Le Club Africain des Entrepreneurs co-hosted the tenth edition of the Séminaire Entrepreneurs.

70 African entrepreneurs from a dozen sub-Saharan African countries, financed by the I&P network, met for a 3-day training course focused this year on “ Improving business management and succeeding in raising funds ”.

In Bamako, Mali, Sutura (2AD) aims to break down the taboo surrounding menstruation and help teenage girls and young women to thrive during their menstrual cycle by offering them suitable, environmentally-friendly period pads.
