I&P participates to the GIIN investor Forum 2016 in Amsterdam

 

With over 80 speakers and 600 delegates from more than 30 countries across the world attending, the GIIN Investor Forum on 7-8 December is the landmark event for anyone involved in impact investment or interested to engage with the industry.

Jean-Michel Severino, President of Investisseurs & Partenaires, and Emilie Debled, PR and Business Development Director, were in Amsterdam to attend the conference.

I&P joins Global Entrepreneurship Week, celebrating its partnership with USAID

 

I&P contributes to the Global Entrepreneurship Week (November 14-18 2016), the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and entrepreneurs who launch startups, bring new ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. Following the launch of the new partnership with USAID, I&P published an article on GEW’s platform: “Accelerating African Entrepreneurship through Local Impact Investing”.

Spark and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) present the 4th IGNITE Conference 2016: Tackling Instability, Radicalisation and Forced Migration.

This year’s conference focuses on how we can tackle root causes of instability, radicalization and forced migration in Africa, the EU and the Middle East, with special attention on the role of entrepreneurship, higher education and leadership in fragile states.

Land of African Business: 2nd edition in Paris

I&P and USAID partner to accelerate small growing businesses in the Sahel region

 

The impact investing group Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P) announces a partnership with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to launch an innovative acceleration program in Niger, Burkina Faso and Senegal. The alliance aims to bring high potential start-ups and Small Growing Businesses (SGBs) to an “investment ready status”, with the underlying objective of building a sustainable entrepreneurial support ecosystem in these financially underserved countries.

Composed of investment funds, providers, development actors, the Aspen network aims to propel entrepreneurship in emerging markets, knowledge sharing and networking, training and skills development and talents, funding opportunities, advocacy and education.

I&P completes two new exits

 

I&P Développement 1 (IPDEV1), Investisseurs & Partenaires’ historical fund launched in 2002 by Patrice Hoppenot, realized two new exits in Mauritania and in Senegal.

In it ten years of operation, IPDEV1 has invested 11 million euros in 33 startups and small businesses based in Sub-Saharan Arica. With these new exits, the fund records close to twenty exits and demonstrates the viability of I&P impact investment model.
